I Knew a Woman

I Knew A Woman is a poem by Theodore Roethke. It was introduced to me by one of those amazing people that you know for just the shortest bit of time, never quite long or well enough. It’s become one of my favorite poems, if I can be said to even like poems. The last stanza; it is perfect.

I was tempted to match an appropriate picture to this short post but I couldn’t find one that left me appropriately inspired. It is impossible to create art for such words. I’m foolish, so I’m tempted to one day give it a try.

Find beauty.
