The Layman’s Summary

Lost and Confused Signpost

I was recently informed that not everyone wants to read all of the technical explanation of the concepts that I post here. As it is, I don’t post everything about it, but rather just distill it down to the key aspects, filling those out with some starchy backstory and applications.

It’s a delicate balancing act, offering enough information that it is clear that I’ve done my homework but not so much that it’s boring to read. I suppose I have at least two audiences. The layman who just wants to know what I’m talking about and how it applies to them, and the expert who wants to know how it’s all supposed to work. Most people are somewhere along that spectrum.

So I have a solution. In the future, I will include a Layman’s Summary near the top, perhaps a paragraph or two long, that gives you the key tidbits of what follows in the rest of the post. If you’re interested in learning more, it will be there. If you want gobs more, by all means ask. There’s a chance I’ve thought of it already and an equal chance that I haven’t and need to.

But if you just want to know what I’m talking about and how it can be used to thwart zombies, the Layman’s Summary should do ya just fine. 🙂 I’ll add one to Leonardo’s Bridge as well.

Thanks for reading.
